GPSR shows the manufacturer and safety details EU law requires on every product page. You create each manufacturer once, assign it to your products, and a widget displays it under the product description. You find it in the Complimus menu under GPSR, with three tabs: Products, Profiles and Widgets.
The General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988 applies to products sold to consumers in the EU since 13 December 2024:
Show who made the product: the manufacturer's name, postal address, and email or website.
If the manufacturer is outside the EU, also show the EU responsible person: the company in the EU that answers for the product.
Show what identifies the product: a photo, its type, and a model, batch or serial number.
Show warnings and safety information in a language your shoppers understand.
Complimus covers rules 1 and 2, and links to the declaration of conformity and manual. Rules 3 and 4 belong in your product photos and descriptions. Food, medicines, plants, animals and antiques follow their own rules.
Create your profiles. In GPSR › Profiles, add each manufacturer, and an EU responsible person for manufacturers outside the EU.
Assign them to your products. In GPSR › Products, select products and click Assign profiles, then add each product's declaration of conformity link.
Add the widget. In GPSR › Widgets, click Add widget, then Save in your theme editor. Repeat for each product template.
The Status card at the top of the GPSR page counts your products as Complete, Incomplete or Not started, and shows how many product templates have the widget. The app's Home page lists what's left under Issues to fix.
