EU Guarantee & GARAN › Products lists your active, published products with what each one shows: Standard notice, GARAN label or Excluded. Filter the list by guarantee, or search for a product.
Every product starts on the 2-year legal guarantee. If the producer offers more:
Click Edit on the product.
Enter the Guarantee duration (years): from 2 to 99, in half-year steps, such as 2.5 or 5.
Enter the Brand, trademark, or producer and the Model. Both are required for a guarantee over 2 years.
Check the label preview, then click Save guarantee information.
Until the brand and model are filled in, the list shows Not shown: add the brand and model, and the product shows only the standard notice. The Status card counts these as missing a brand or model.
Select products, then click Update guarantees. For each field (duration, brand, model), choose No change, Set a value or Clear value, then click Apply to selected products. Products whose result would be invalid, such as a 5-year guarantee without a model, aren't changed and are listed.
Excluded products show no notice and no label. Only exclude items the legal guarantee doesn't cover, such as services, digital downloads or gift cards.
Automatically: digital products and gift cards.
By rule: in Rules, add product tags or product types to exclude. Matching products update within a few minutes.
One by one: click Exclude on a product, or select several and choose Exclude all selected. Include brings them back.
A product excluded by a rule shows why, for example "Matches excluded tag 'service'". To include it again, remove the rule or change the product's tag or type in Shopify.
